The state-backed conglomerate's move should pave the way for future corporate issuances in 2025, which could make use of the HKMA’s grant scheme.

The HKMA has launched a grant scheme of up to HK$2.5m for future digital bond issuances, which is the SAR’s latest move to build its virtual asset ecosystem.

The $100 million issuance will be the group’s first digital sustainability-linked bond and Singapore’s largest foreign currency digital bond.
